How It Works Why HVAC Contact Get Started

Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 20, 2026

Recov ("Recov," "we," "us," or "our") provides missed-call text-back and call-handling services to HVAC businesses ("Clients"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when Clients use our service and when their customers ("Callers") interact with it.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Call data: phone numbers, call timestamps, call status (e.g. missed, answered, voicemail), and call duration.
  • Message data: the content of SMS messages sent and received through the service.
  • Client account information: business name, contact details, billing information, and forwarding configuration.
  • Voice recordings: custom greetings a Client chooses to upload, and, where applicable, call recordings used for service quality and support.

2. How We Use Information

  • To deliver the core service: detecting missed calls and sending follow-up text messages on a Client's behalf.
  • To maintain a record of calls and messages so Clients can follow up with their own customers.
  • To troubleshoot, secure, and improve the service.
  • To meet legal, regulatory, and carrier compliance obligations, including those required for SMS messaging in the United States (e.g. A2P 10DLC registration with mobile carriers).

3. SMS Messaging and Opt-Out

When a Caller's call to a Client goes unanswered, Recov may send that Caller a single automated text message on the Client's behalf, acknowledging the missed call. Callers may reply STOP at any time to opt out of receiving further messages, and HELP for assistance. Message and data rates may apply depending on the Caller's mobile carrier plan.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell personal information. We share information only with:

  • The Client whose number received the call — so they can see and respond to their own customer's information.
  • Service providers who help us operate the platform (e.g. telecommunications and messaging infrastructure providers), bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
  • Carriers and registries as required for SMS compliance (e.g. The Campaign Registry).
  • Authorities, where required by law or legal process.

5. Data Retention

We retain call and message records for as long as a Client's account is active, and for a limited period afterward as needed for legal, billing, or dispute-resolution purposes. Clients may request deletion of their account data, subject to retention obligations imposed by law or carrier requirements.

6. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children's Privacy

Our service is intended for use by businesses and their adult customers. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
